Got questions?

Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Create an account in DocHub and choose one of its paid subscriptions that offers the Attachment Fields capabilities. After you upload and fill out the form in the editor, click Manage Fields -> Image, drag this field where needed, and customize it using the right sidebar. Insert the required visuals, then sign your PDF with .svg attachments using the appropriate button on the upper toolbar.
The image types allowed for attachments are pre-determined in the Image Fields. Always check the upload modal to confirm supported formats and avoid errors during the signing process. In DocHub, you can enclose the following image formats to your form:
  • .jpg
  • .jpeg
  • .png
  • .bmp
  • .gif
  • .svg
  • .tiff
  • .webp
When you sign a PDF with SVG attachments, the images are safely embedded to your paperwork. After signing, they remain available to all document recipients.
You can easily modify your .svg attachments by clicking on the Image Field. In the “Edit Image” dialog window, choose “Create New Image” to upload a new visual file, or “Reset Field” to delete the one you attached. This enables you to manage the content embedded in your PDF before signing it.
No, DocHub doesn't charge users above their subscription fees. However, the image attachment feature is available only in certain subscriptions. Ensure your account plan includes this capability or upgrade it to utilize this functionality.
As explained earlier, some e-mail programs do not support SVG files, which can lead to display problems. Use of this format should therefore be treated with caution.
One potential solution could be to use a different image format that is more suitable for email signatures, such as SVG. Unlike JPEG or PNG, SVG images are vector-based, which means they can be scaled to any size without losing quality.
Open the PDF document or form that you want to sign. Click the Sign icon in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can choose Tools Fill Sign or choose Fill Sign from the right pane. The Fill Sign tool is displayed.
This is the answer. Also, it has some drawbacks, it could make your code a little complex and less readable, if there is something complex going on in your svg, and caching is another issue. It should not be used when youre working with an image which is very detailed, like grunge texture.
For example, if you create the SVG in Inkscape, then you would go to File - Save a copy - Save as PDF, and then open it up in Acrobat. This method should preserve text and vector paths. If you instead choose Print - Print to File as PDF, then the image will become rasterized (pixelated) and lose its vector powers.
