This tutorial demonstrates how to disable PDF printing by using a PDF writer. To protect a document, open Windows Explorer, locate the PDF, and select "Make Secure PDF" from the right-click menu. In the PDF writer, go to the printing and viewing tab and deselect the allowed printing checkbox. Click "Publish" to confirm the protection. The document will now have a .pdc extension and can only be opened with Lock Lizard Secure PDF Viewer. Printing will be disabled, and the print icon will be greyed out in the viewer. Ctrl+P and other shortcuts will not work.
