There are three main reasons why you cannot copy and paste from a PDF: the file is locked, copy and paste options are restricted, or the PDF you received is a scanned or image file.
Steps: Open the PDF file with Google Chrome. You can do this by right-clicking on the file name and choosing Open with Google Chrome. Once the file is open, right-click on the link to open a menu of options. Click on Copy link address, which will copy the address.
In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box. Note: If you dont see the Address box, make sure Existing File or Web Page is selected under Link to. Optionally, type different display text for your link in the Text to display box.
Locate the PDF document that you want to convert to a URL link. Hover over the document and click on the More button (represented by three dots) that appears on the right-hand side. From the dropdown menu, select Convert to URL. A pop-up window will appear with the generated URL for your PDF.
Copy, paste, and send the PDF link In Drive, select your file. Click Share . Click Copy link and click Done. Send the modified PDF link. When you click the link, you (or anyone else) can download a PDF copy of your file.
Open a PDF that contains a PDF file attachment. Go to where you want to create a link. If the location is in the file attachment, select the Attachments file option in the Edit panel and add the file attachment. Choose Edit Link Add or edit a link, and select the area for the link.
If you have Acrobat on your computer, you can easily create a link in PDF using the program. Follow the steps below: In the Home interface, click the Tools Edit PDF button. Go to Link Add or Edit. Drag a rectangle where you want to create a link on the PDF, this will open Create Link dialog box.
