im going to show you how to bend your lines and pads in illustrator without using anchor points or the pen tool look at this we have a line just a path out here on our artboard a path is just any connection between two anchor points which you can fill in with a stroke as we have here and this stroke is 20 points there are stroke options ive turned on the rounded ends you can mess around with any of that as long as we have a path between two anchor points you can bend this so i kind of lied you are going to grab the pin tool if we click and hold on the pen tool we actually see this anchor point tool now once we have that selected you can edit anchor points but if you immediately go to the right onto the path it shows this other icon that allows you to bend lines all you have to do is click and drag on the path to bend it if you hold shift its going to keep those anchor points lined up perfectly if you dont you can kind of bend it to whichever way you want and you can bend this path
