In this tutorial, we learn how to format cells in Excel by applying colors and shading. To highlight cells, select them and press Ctrl+1 to open the format cells dialog box. Choose a font color and click OK. To fill cells with color, select them and open the format cells dialog box again, this time going to the fill tab. Choose a color and click OK. This formatting helps draw attention to column headings and data. If you have a technical question for future issues, email it to social@navatten.com.
