i just wanted to do a quick tutorial on how to apply a texture to one particular face of an object in blender it seems like theres been some changes in how they do texturing and so when i was researching this it was hard to find the proper way to do this because some of the old methods are no longer relevant so if i were to go into this object and uh lets make sure viewport shading is on and ive selected just this top face here and ive got this like spiral texture that i want to apply to that face so if i were to go into the materials right now ive got this material and i choose in here under base color i can choose image texture if i click that little circle and i can then open my texture its here but you can see its applied it to the entire object even though ive got that face selected and thats because i only have one material what you need is multiple materials um and so ill just take this default material here okay so just so we can remember which is which lets call th
