Right-click the WordArt in your worksheet to open the properties options. Choose Format Shape, then choose Fill. Select Solid Fill and adjust the fill saturation of your text by sliding the Transparency bar until your watermark is no longer hiding your worksheet data.
Click Format. In the Format Cells dialog box, click the Fill tab. Select the background or pattern color that you want to use for the shaded rows, and then click OK. At this point, the color you just selected should appear in the Preview window in the New Formatting Rule dialog box.
You can add a watermark to your Excel sheet printout that reads, for example, Draft or Confidential. However, there is no Watermark button for this feature in Excel for Mac. On the View tab, click Page Layout. Page Layout view is helpful because you can easily see the margins of each printed page.
Working with watermarks in Excel is no exception. There is no built-in watermark feature, so instead, youll have to insert an image into your spreadsheet and then tweak it a bit. The place to add your image is in the header. To do this, go to the Insert tab and click Header Footer.
When you have inserted the watermark, excel remains in the Page Layout view. You can go to the normal view by going to View Workbook Views Normal. Once you are in normal view mode, you will not see the watermark, but it is still there and can be viewed by going to the Page Layout Mode.
Make sure that only one worksheet is selected. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Background. Select the picture that you want to use for the sheet background, and then click Insert. The selected picture is repeated to fill the sheet.
