hi Im Ted today Im going to show you how to make a border around a graph in Excel theres one tricky part of this that I want to emphasize and that is that theres a difference between the plot area which is the area between the to the right of the vertical axis and above the horizontal axis that includes where the data is going to appear this happens to be a scatterplot but the same thing could apply if it was a bar chart or something else the other thing is the chart area and youll see as I move my mouse it changes from one to the other if youre inside of where the data is its the plot area and if youre just outside its the chart area so you have to always be aware of which one of those youre working on so first lets go into the plot area and were just going to double click and when we do that we get a menu called format plot area and we can draw a border around it so well select the line and well make a nice a nice bold red line I will go to the weights I always like to m
