JPG or JPEG files are a common RGB file-type and have a nice balance between file size and quality, and theyre readable almost anywhere across devices. PSD files are the native documents created in docHub Photoshop.
Many JPEG files embed an ICC color profile (color space). Commonly used color profiles include sRGB and docHub RGB. Because these color spaces use a non-linear transformation, the dynamic range of an 8-bit JPEG file is about 11 stops; see gamma curve.
Open the photo, select Edit and tap the More () icon. Select Markup, tap the + icon and select Text. When the text box appears on the photo, double-tap it to raise the keyboard. Type the caption and use the options at the bottom of the screen to change the font, color and size.
JPEG images contain 24-bit RGB color information, which means they are comprised of colors from the true color space of millions of colors (see Chapter 3, Web Design Principles for Print Designers for a description of 24-bit color). JPEG files can also carry grayscale images.
JPEGs are ideal for RGB files because theyre a nice middle-ground between file size and quality, and theyre readable almost anywhere. PSD is the standard source file for RGB documents, assuming all team members are working with docHub Photoshop.
Recolor a picture Click the picture and the Format Picture pane appears. On the Format Picture pane, click . Click Picture Color to expand it. Under Recolor, click any of the available presets. If you want to switch back to the original picture color, click Reset.
Press slightly harder with your pencil to make darker values on the opposite side of your light source. Build up layers of shading, working towards the darkest part of the drawing. Your darkest shadow is called the core shadow. Rounded shapes will have reflected shadows on the opposite side of the light source.
JPEG format supports CMYK, RGB, and Grayscale color modes, and does not support alpha channels. Unlike GIF format, JPEG retains all color information in an RGB image but compresses file size by selectively discarding data. Due to the fact the the JPEG format discards data, we do not recommend it for any images.
