The freeform shape tool on the Insert tab allows you to create custom shapes and edit existing shapes by clicking to draw outlines and adding points. Refinements can be made by right-clicking a shape, selecting "edit points," and adjusting the black squares. New points can be created by clicking on the outline and points can be removed by holding the Ctrl key and clicking on them.
