CSS Box Shadow Specify a horizontal and a vertical shadow: div { box-shadow: 10px 10px; Specify a color for the shadow: div { Add a blur effect to the shadow: div { Set the spread radius of the shadow: div { Add the inset parameter: div { div { box-shadow: 5px 5px blue, 10px 10px red, 15px 15px green;

However, if youre shading an image for purposes other than overlaying text, youll want to apply the filter property if its supported in your target browsers. This method keeps the image in our HTML markup, which allows us to communicate the images content to visitors using screenreaders via the alt attribute.
