Required Editions and User Permissions In Setup, enter Users in the Quick Find box, then select Users. In the user list view, click a users name. On the User Detail page, select the checkbox next to the feature license you want to enable for that user. Click Save.
A permission set is a convenient way to assign users specific settings and permissions to use various tools and functions. Permission set licenses incrementally entitle users to access features that are not included in their user licenses. Users can be assigned any number of permission set licenses.
To assign a permission set license to one user: From Setup, enter Users in the Quick Find box, then select Users. Click the name of the user to whom you want to assign the permission set license. In the Permission Set License Assignments related list, click Edit Assignments. Select the permission set license to assign.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users , and then select Users. Click the name of the user whose permission set license you want to remove. In the Permission Set License Assignments related list, click Del next to the permission set license that you want to remove, and then click OK.
Each salesforce user should have one user license to access the specific functionality. To access more functionalities, one can choose the permission set license and feature license.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users , and then select Users. Click the name of the user whose permission set license you want to remove. In the Permission Set License Assignments related list, click Del next to the permission set license that you want to remove, and then click OK.
Assign Licenses to Users From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission , and then select Permission Sets. Select one of the two permission set labels. Click Manage Assignments. On the Assigned Users page, click Add Assignments. Select the users you want to assign licenses to, and click Assign.
As a workaround, edit the users username and append . old (or similar to prevent username duplication), deactivate the user, and then create a user with the new license type needed. Navigate to Setup | Users | Users. Next to the Users name, click Edit. From the User License picklist, select Salesforce. Click Save.
Assign licenses to one user Select the row of the user that you want to assign a license to. In the right pane, select Licenses and Apps. Expand the Licenses section, select the boxes for the licenses that you want to assign, then select Save changes.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Roles , then select Roles. Click Assign next to the name of the desired role. Make a selection from the dropdown list to show the available users. Select a user on the left, and click Add to assign the user to this role. Click Save.
