Rich Text Format (RTF) is a file format that lets you exchange text files between different word processors in different operating systems (OSes). For example, you can create a file in Microsoft Word and then open it in another word processor, such as Apple Pages or Google Docs.
RTF files contain both configuration information and the actual text of the document. The formatting includes bold, italics, font size, and margin settings. This means that when you open an RTF file in a word processing program, the text will retain its original design.
If you want to make any changes to the drop-down box, just select it while in Developer Mode and click Properties again. Select Content control cant be deleted to ensure readers cannot delete the drop-down box or its options. Dont select the Contents cannot be edited option.
To edit the Default text and color of Word Content Controls, go to the Developer tab and click Design Mode. This will display the Content Controls with opening and closing brackets. Select the text between the brackets and replace it with desired default text. You can apply distinctive formatting as well.
Edit an enhanced rich text column Open the list you want to edit. Select the list item, right click, and then select Edit. Next to the Text label, click the Pencil. Add text and format it any way you want (change the font, font size, font color, highlight, bold, italics, underline, bullet points, numbering, and so on.
The major downside is file size. RTF documents are not compressed so they are much larger than the same document saved in . docx or . odt formats that automatically shrink the file.
Right-click the rich text box for which you want to enable or disable full rich-text formatting, and then click Rich Text Box Properties on the shortcut menu. Click the Display tab. To enable full rich-text formatting for the selected rich text box, select the Full rich text (images, tables, etc.)
If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu, or press ALT+I, C. Under Insert controls, click Rich Text Box. In the Rich Text Box Binding dialog box, select the field in which you want to store rich text box data, and then click OK.
The Rich Text Editor is a tool that allows you to add or edit content, images, links, and other components on the page without having to know any code. It displays the content and any formatting as it would display in the browser.
