hey guys Jeffrey here for a moment and today we wanted to talk about what everyone is too afraid to ask but is dying to know the differences between raw JPEG and TIFF one of my favorite features about the moment app is the ability to switch between the different photo formats JPEG raw and TIFF see the native camera app only lets you shoot in JPEG which really limits your baking I mean capturing capabilities okay so lets talk about that JPEG JPEGs are the most common type of file format for photos its a compressed file optimized for storage and ease of use but through that compression some of the details are lost after a JPEG is made much like this delicious cake not much can be changed we can try to mask out those blown out highlights with a filter or this vanilla cake with chocolate icing but well all know its still there next we have raw now dont be afraid of raw I used to be afraid of raw but now I love it I shootin it all the time and thats because its an uncompressed file
