okay so heres a warning about a scam via text which has just come through today on my phone it claims to be from hsbc saying a new pay was set up on your account at 1305 if this was not you please visit our secure link to cancel and youve got a link just here now dont tap or click on that link because that will take you to a bogus hsbc website where basically they will record your banking login details and enable themselves to log in as yourself or it could actually put a virus on your computer or tablet or phone so if you get this then please ignore it if youre not sure whether its genuine or not and im 99.9 sure its not genuine then just ignore this but log on to your bank if you are an hsbc customer log on by going to the app or the website do not click on any links like this and check there if there is anything they need to tell you then usually they will tell you as soon as you log in to the account or else you can check in your payee section or you can contact the bank by

A payee is the term used to describe the person or business that you are paying money to.
When using checks, the payees name goes on the line that says, Pay to the order of. That person (or business, nonprofit, or other entity) is the only one who is authorized to negotiate the check. They can deposit it, cash it, or potentially sign it over to someone else.
Specify a nickname to be assigned to the specific account of the payee for the purpose of easy identification. In the Payee Name field, enter the name of the payee for identification. In the Payment Type field, select the specific network for payment. In the Account Number field, enter the payees account number.
The Payee Account Number is normally the combination of the PIN (payee identification number) and the account type code. If there is more than one Payee Account Number with the same PIN and account type code, a sequential number is added as a suffix.
If youre setting up online bill payments from your checking account, the payee is the business you want to pay (your utility provider, for example). Providing payee information tells your bank who receives the money and where to send the check or electronic payment.
Generally, the payee is the person to whom you make the payment, regardless of whether that person is the beneficial owner of the income.
Anyone who is paid is a payee, but the term is most commonly used to mean the person (or organization) whose name is written on a check after the words pay to the order of. If you write a check to pay your cable bill, the cable company is the payee.
