hello everyone Chris here and today Im going to give you a quick tutorial on how to use OpenOffice writer headers and footers and Im going to be combining that with a brief introduction on page Styles as well so to insert a header into a OpenOffice writer document first you got to go up to the insert menu header and footer now when you look at header and footer youre going to see its a default and that default there its referring to the page styles um the different page styles you have throughout the document each page style can have its own header so by having different pages set to different page styles so you can go over here and create and add in different headers to customize each page style youll see a little bit of more about what I mean in a minute here um but for right now well go ahead and customize the default page header style for the default style and we have our little header up here at the top now theres nothing in it yet and youll notice that by hitting tab we

To add a preset header, click on “Add header”, then click on the drop-down arrow in the “Header” button to browse through the list of preset headers.
To do that, go to menu Format → Styles and Formatting (F11). To the top of the window choose the “page styles” icon. Right click and create a new page style. That new page style will be different from any other page style of other sheets and that's why you can have different header/footer for that sheet.
Click INSERT > Header & Footer. On the Slide tab, check Footer. In the box below Footer, type the text that you want, such as the presentation title. Check Date and time to add that to your slides.
Headers are located in the margin area at the top of the page. Footers are located in the margin area at the bottom of a page. Headers and footers generally contain document information, such as the file name, author, date created, page numbering and the like.
To set a header or footer: Navigate to the sheet that you want to set the header or footer for. Select Format > Page. Select the Header (or Footer) tab. Select the Header on option.
How do I edit headers & footers in a LibreOffice document? Insert -> Header and Footer -> Header -> [x] Default Style. Click into the header and start typing or inserting your desired content.
Sadly, just like iOS devices, creating different headers for different pages won't work on an Android. However, you can choose to create other headers on different and odd pages or create a different header on the document's first page.
Re: Unique header on each page Title your pages in a Heading style, used in the text; in the Page Header /insert /Fields /Other: Document tab : Type "Chapter", Format "Chapter name", selecting the level of the Heading you used at the bottom of that dialog window.
To add a header to a page, choose Insert - Header and Footer - Header, and then select the page style for the current page from the submenu. To add a footer to a page, choose Insert - Header and Footer - Footer, and then select the page style for the current page from the submenu.
