The image-set() CSS functional notation is a method of letting the browser pick the most appropriate CSS image from a given set, primarily for high pixel density screens. Resolution and bandwidth differ by device and network access.
An element is an inline element (display value of inline-block ). It can be easily centered by adding the text-align: center; CSS property to the parent element that contains it. To center an image using text-align: center; you must place the inside of a block-level element such as a div .
srcset allows you to define a list of different image resources along with size information so that browser can pick the most appropriate image based on the actual devices resolution. The actual width of the image or display density: Either using display density descriptor, for example, 1.5x , 2x etc.
This can be used to show high-quality pictures to devices with higher pixel ratios. A 2.0-pixel density would be the 2x size. Note: You cannot mix these pixel densities and widths in the srcset. Another thing to note about the srcset is that once it loads the biggest possible image, it will never load the smaller ones.
The srcset attribute takes a comma-separated list of image URLs, each with an x descriptor stating the device-pixel-ratio that that file is intended for. The src is there for browsers that dont understand srcset . The alt , of course, is included for browsers that dont render images at all.
This can be done by enclosing the image and text in an HTML div. Then make the position of div relative and that of text absolute. The absolute elements are positioned relative to their parent (div). The top, right, bottom, and left properties of these elements specify their location from the parent.
srcset defines the set of images we will allow the browser to choose between, and what size each image is. Each set of image information is separated from the previous one by a comma.
The srcset attribute allows you to specify a list of image file URLs, along with size descriptions. Yo ualso need to still use the src attribute to identify a default image source, to be used in browsers that dont support srcset .
