If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu, or press ALT+I, C. Under Insert controls, click File Attachment. In the File Attachment Binding dialog box, select the field in which you want to store file attachment data, and then click OK.
Click the page you want to edit. At the bottom of the page, click Add files. Choose a file and click Open.
Attachments are listed in the sidebar of your document. In Document Management libraries you can also access attachments in the Properties tab, under Attachments. When your document has Google files as attachments, you can open the attachment in the Google editor.
Attach a file On your computer, go to Gmail. Click Compose. At the bottom, click Attach . Choose the files you want to upload. Click Open.
The process is simple: Log into Google Drive. Click on the New button on the left side of your screen and select File Upload. Find your PDF file and upload it. Once its uploaded, click on it and select Open With Google Docs to turn it into an editable file.
Link or Embed a file Go to Insert Object. Select Create from File. Select Browse and choose the file you want to use. Select Insert. Choose Display as icon to embed, or Link to file for a link. Select OK.
