How do I stop my PDFs from opening in Firefox? In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences. In the General panel, go down to the Applications section. Within the list, look for Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list.
PDF file handling options If you prefer to use another PDF viewer, like docHub, you can change the default PDF viewer. Go to Options Applications, then find the listing for Portable Document Format (PDF). Under the Action column, youll see that its set for Preview in Firefox.
Go to File Create PDF from Web Page. In the Create PDF from Web Page dialog, enter the URL of the web page you want to convert, and then click Create.
Select File Export. In the File Format menu, choose PDF.
Type about:preferences in the Firefox Address Bar. This will bring up options. On the General Page, scroll down to Applications. To the right of Portable Document Format (PDF) select the drop down and choose docHub.
Right-clickHold down the control key while you click the download entry for the PDF file you want to open. Click the context menu item for the system default PDF viewer (for example, click Open in docHub Reader DC) (for example, click Open in Preview) to open the PDF file in that application.
In the General panel, go down to the Applications section. Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click the entry to select it. Click the arrow under the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use from the drop-down menu.
