The General Steps to Transfer Books to Kindle Connect your device to computer via USB. Double click the drive to open it and view the folders. Select the item you want to transfer (mobi or pdf). Copy books to the folder (documents) under Kindle drive. Or you can also use the Send-to-Kindle email address.
On the web, go to Amazons Send to Kindle page. Drag and drop your file to the large square area, or click on Select files from device and choose the file you want to send. (The maximum file size is 200MB.) There will be a list of supported file types on the page including PDF, DOCX, and ePub, among others.
To connect your Kindle to your computer: Plug the USB cable into an available USB port or a powered USB hub on your computer. 2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on the bottom of your Kindle. Your Kindle displays the message Your Kindle is in USB drive mode when connected.
Method 1: Cloud Sync Kindle Books to Kindle for PC Step 1: Open Kindle for PC. Double click your Kindle for PC software to open it. Step 2: Click the Sync Sign. Wait a few seconds the book bought from Kindle store will appear. You can download the ebook in the Library or just click the book and begin to read.
In the Kindle for PC app top menu, select File then Import PDF. From the screen that pops up, find the PDF you wish to upload. Import personal document by selecting Open.
Download Books to Your Kindle App Open the Kindle app . Go to your Library. If youre on a computer, double-click on the book cover. If youre on a mobile device, select the book cover. A progress bar updates as the book downloads.
If you have a newer Kindle, follow these steps: Plug in your old Kindle using the USB cord that came with it and navigate to the Kindle directory. Go to the Documents folder. Select all the book folders you want to transfer over to the new Kindle. Copy and paste the files temporarily on your computer.
Go to the website of your local public library and search for Kindle books or eBooks. At checkout, sign in to your Amazon account and select the device to which you want to send the book. Connect your device to Wi-Fi and download the title from the Archived Items or Cloud.
