You can text a PDF to someone, but not through traditional SMS. The easiest way is to use a texting platform with MMS messaging services, which lets you send images, videos, GIFs, audio, and PDFs. You can also send a PDF from the file app on your phone or by sending a link to the document thats hosted on your site.
On your computer, in a browser, like Chrome or Safari, open Google Messages for web. Sign in to Google Messages for web with the same Google Account that you chose on your phone. On your phone, you get a dialog in Google Messages with 3 emoji, tap the emoji that matches the one shown on your computer screen.
On your PC, in the Phone Link, select Messages. To start a new conversation, select New message. Enter the name or phone number of a contact. Select the person you want to send a message to.
Send a text from an online texting platform like SimpleTexting. You can use a computer texting app like SimpleTexting to send text messages from a computer to one or more phone numbers. This is convenient if you want to mass text your clients or want to respond to text message conversations quickly.
Use a temporary or disposable phone number. There are services available that offer temporary phone numbers that you can use to send messages without revealing your personal number. Examples of such services include Burner, Hushed, and Google Voice. Use a third-party texting service.
Open your messaging app, select the recipients name, and click the attachment tab. Depending on the app, it may be in the form of a paperclip icon. Once the attachment window opens, youll be able to select the files you want to text.
Save the PDF file to a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Dropbox. Get the shareable link to the PDF file. This can usually be done by right-clicking on the file and selecting Get shareable link or a similar option. Open your messaging app and create a new message.
The two best ways to text from your PC if you have an iPhone involve Intels Unison app and the native Windows Phone Link app. You can also use third-party messaging apps like Signal or Telegram if you arent concerned with employing the iPhone iMessage functionality.
