Format Fields within Queries In Design View, select the field that you want to format. Click the Property Sheet button on the Design tab. The Property Sheet appears. Click the Format box in the Property Sheet. Type how you want the field to be formatted.

Open the table in Design View. In the upper section of the design grid, select the Date/Time field you want to format. In the Field Properties section, select the General tab, click the cell next to the Format box and enter the specific characters based on your formatting needs.
Add to an existing table Open the table in Design View. In the Field Name column of the designer, enter the name of Long Text field. For example: Address, Notes or Comments. Click the Data Type column next to the field name and choose Long Text from the list. Save your changes.
Right-click the date field, and then click Properties. In the Property Sheet, select the format you want from the Format property list.
To resize a field, select it and then drag the edges. To move a field, select that field and then drag it to the new location. To move multiple fields, hold down Ctrl while selecting the fields you want to move and then drag to the new location.

For a field, you can set this property in table Design view (in the Field Properties section) or in Design view of the Query window (in the Field Properties property sheet).
