Open Microsoft Intune and select Apps App protection policies. Select the existing policy to turn off, and then select the Properties. Edit Required settings. Set Windows Information Protection mode to off.

You can encrypt PDF files with Azure Information Protection (AIP). Encrypting your PDFs with AIP ensures that unauthorized people cannot read the files content. Protected PDF readers that support AIP verify that youve been granted permission to open the document, and also decrypt the content for you.
If your organization uses Microsoft Purview Information Protection, they probably want you to apply that same protection to any PDFs you create from Microsoft 365 files. Heres how to do it using a Windows PC. In the appropriate Microsoft 365 app select File Save a Copy. Set the file type to PDF and select Save.
Open the Word document you want to convert. Click on the File tab in the top-left corner of the Word windowselect Save As In the Save as type dropdown menu, select PDF (*. pdf) Save button.
