lock the PDF whenever someone wants to access it. So just choose a password, confirm it and then click on Protect. And then the document will be encrypted and password protected. So now only people with the password will be able to access it. And then you click on Download and save your newly protected PDF. So thats it for method number one. How to secure a PDF. Launch docHub and select the Protect tool from the Tools menu. Choose your protection settings. Once youve protected your file, save it as a separate copy for safekeeping. Select Share With Others from the top toolbar. Add the recipients email addresses. Select Send to share your file.
For a PDF Portfolio, select Protection Security properties from the hamburger menu (windows) or Select Document Properties from File (macOS). In the Document Properties dialog box, select the Security tab. Select the dropdown next to Security Method, and then select Password Security.
The easiest solution is to add a password to the PDF and send it to your intended recipients. (See Add password security.) You dont want anyone to print or edit your PDF.
You can password-protect a PDF online, using the Google Chrome browser: Drag Drop your file in our password protector; Type and then confirm your new password; Download the secured PDF document.

How to encrypt a PDF file for email Open the PDF you want to encrypt in the editor. On the top toolbar, click Tools Protect Encrypt Encrypt with Password. Check the box next to Require a password to open the document. Choose a password in the text block.
