Add a password to a PDF Open the PDF in Acrobat. Do any of the following: Go to All tools Protect a PDF Protect with password. In the Protect Using Password dialog box, select if you want to set the password for viewing or editing the PDF. Type and retype your password. Select Apply.
How do I find the page numbers for a PDF document in Safari? the best bet is to open it in Preview using the relevant button that appears when you hover at the bottom of a pdf in safari.
To view the page count using docHub Reader, open the PDF file and look for the Page field in the bottom left corner of the window. The page count will be displayed next to the field.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF. Choose File Edit Permissions, then do any of the following: Set a password for opening the PDF: Select Require Password To Open Document. Enter a password, then retype it to verify.
Once you have it, follow these steps: Open Acrobat and open the PDF. Press Command-D to see security options, or click File Document Properties. Type in the password. Choose No Password from the dropdown menu where the password is used. Click OK, then OK again. Save the PDF.
Open the PDF file in Preview, go to Tools Show Inspector, and select the first tab (General Info). This will show the size as well as other info about the PDF file. Of course you can just look at the file size in Finder in List view, or by right-clicking on the file and choosing Get Info.
Jump to a specific page Open any PDF file. Scroll a page and tap the page number at the bottom right. Enter the page number and tap Go. If you wish to return to the previous page, tap Back to p. at the bottom left.
In the Preview app on your Mac, choose Preview Settings, then click PDF. Select Use logical page numbers.
