When a PDF is opened in the Acrobat Reader (not in a browser), the search window pane may or may not be displayed. To display the search/find window pane, use Ctrl+F.
On a Mac, the built-in file explorer is known as Finder. You can use Finder to navigate to the Pictures folder to find your scanned documents.
Steps to Make PDF Searchable in docHub Open the scanned file in docHub (e.g.docHub). If the file is scanned PDF, open it in docHub directly. Go to Tools Enhance Scans Recognize Text In This File. Go to File Save, you will find the PDF is searchable on Mac or Windows.
One of the main reasons why PDFs are not searchable is that they dont include any text. The PDF may be a scanned document or just an image-based document. If thats the case, then there is no searchable text. You can read the text within the image-based document, but the PDF tool cannot.
Use the Find toolbar to quickly search the current PDF and replace text. Press Ctrl+F for Windows or Command + F for macOS to open the Find toolbar. Enter the word you want to search for.
