How to search a PDF on Windows 10 Open your PDF with your default PDF reader. Press the control (Ctrl) button and the F key simultaneously. A text box will pop up type in the keyword or phrase you want to locate in the box. The first matching word or phrase will be highlighted in the PDF.
One of the main reasons why PDFs are not searchable is that they dont include any text. The PDF may be a scanned document or just an image-based document. If thats the case, then there is no searchable text. You can read the text within the image-based document, but the PDF tool cannot.
Using any browser, open a PDF document (right-click Open with). Press CTRL+F or CMD+F, depending on your operating system. Alternatively, access the Find function in the menu bar. Type and navigate between search results using the arrows next to the search box.
All it takes is a few simple steps, and youll be done quickly! Step 1: Open PDF and Access to the OCR Icon. Click on Open File to import the PDF. Step 2: Turn the Scanned PDF into Searchable. Once installed, click the same Recognize Text Using OCR button again. Step 3: Search Words in the Scanned PDF.
Choose Edit Find (Ctrl/Command+F). Type the text you want to search for in the text box on the Find toolbar. To replace text, click Replace With to expand the toolbar, then type the replacement text in the Replace With text box. Finds only occurrences of the complete word you type in the text box.
Use the Find command to search a PDF. Press Ctrl+F if youre using a Windows computer device, or press Command+F if youre using a Mac computer. Then, you can enter the word or text you want to locate in the Find dialog box, which will allow you to select Next or Previous to move through the search results.
When a PDF is opened in the Acrobat Reader (not in a browser), the search window pane may or may not be displayed. To display the search/find window pane, use Ctrl+F.
Use the Find toolbar to quickly search the current PDF and replace text. Press Ctrl+F for Windows or Command + F for macOS to open the Find toolbar. Enter the word you want to search for.
Restricting your search to only find PDF files is therefore an easy way of finding authoritative information freely available on the web. You can do this using the shortcut filetype: in the Google search box. It is also one of the options in Google advanced search.
Open the docHub Reader app on your Android. Tap the Search button on the bottom right of your screen. Type your search. This can be either the name of the file or any words that may appear in it.
