How To Search for a Word in a PDF Using Any PDF Reader Open any PDF with your default PDF reader. Press CTRL+F (Windows) or CMD+F (Mac). In the text box, enter your search term. The first match will be highlighted. Press Enter or click the right arrow to navigate between the results.
How to Control-F on an iPhone webpage using the Share button Open a webpage on the Safari or Chrome app. Tap the Share icon. Scroll down, then tap Find on Page (Safari) or Find in Page (Chrome). Type in the word or phrase you want to find in the search bar. When youre finished, tap Done.
Steps to Search PDF on iPhone with Safari: Input the link to PDF on your browser to open it. Click the bottom center button (the one with the arrow facing up) to view controls. Choose the search on page option and type what you want to see. The searched word will appear highlighted.
How to search a PDF on a Mac Press CMD + F. In the text box that appears, search your selected term or phrase. Click the arrows to navigate the highlighted results.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF. In the Preview toolbar, type a word or phrase in the search field (you may need to resize the window to see it). To find an exact phrase, click the magnifying glass , then choose Exact Phrase.
Note: Preview can only search a searchable PDF on mac. Go to FileEditFind. Or you can use search toolbar in the window, even press Command+F to search a pdf on mac. Input the key word you want to search in the field and the word will be highlighted in yellow as following.
Use the Find command to search a PDF. Press Ctrl+F if youre using a Windows computer device, or press Command+F if youre using a Mac computer. Then, you can enter the word or text you want to locate in the Find dialog box, which will allow you to select Next or Previous to move through the search results.
