hi everyone welcome back to Mr Carlsons lab and the continuing cr88 receiver Restoration in a previous episode These capacitors all got installed so these are replacing the bathtub capacitors that were screwed down to the chassis here so all these yellow capacitors that you see have all been replaced now its time to replace the main filter capacitor now this main filter capacitor still works and it is in very good condition Ive started the radio up a few times and it seems to be absolutely fine but it cannot be trusted just like the bathtub capacitors this has to be taken out of circuit now I dont want this thing to leak in the future because these have you know fluid inside them the seals on the bottom side of the capacitor are all still good and I want to keep it that way so what Im going to do is Im going to install some very nice poly capacitors on the bottom side of the chassis you can see that there the light glaring on it so therell be three of these capacitors installed
