Click the [Settings and more] icon ① in the top-right corner, then click [Settings]②. Click [Default browser]③. Under Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode)④, you can select the setting you need. Select Allow to enable IE mode.
One way to avoid this is to change your default browser settings. Go to Start Settings Apps Default apps. Set your preferred browser as the default for internet activities. This will make sure Internet Explorer opens for browsing tasks.
The desktop IE favorites are normal-ish folders in both systems. You can just copy the contents from your old system like you would any other file then paste them in the new location. In your old system, right-click on the Start menu link to Favorites select open. Then copy the entries there.
Select New, followed by Key to add a new key. The name of this key will be shown when right-clicking within Internet Explorer; therefore it should be identifiable, such as Export to Microsoft Excel. Click on this new key (Export to Microsoft Excel), right click on (Default) and click Modify.
