Select the PDF file to which you want to add a password. Once the PDF file is open, click on the More button located at the top right corner of the page. From the drop-down menu, choose the Add Password option. A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to enter a password for the PDF file.
Chosen solution I think I found the solution. Under about:preferences, I need to go to Applications and change every instance of Save File to Always Ask.
Note: When you choose another PDF viewer to use by default in Firefox, or, if you set Firefox to always ask you what to do with PDF files, any PDF files you open will also be saved to your Downloads folder (see Where to find and manage downloaded files in Firefox).
Open the page you want to save. Tap the menu (three-dots) button in the toolbar. icon at the bottom. Tap Save as PDF.
Double-click the PDF file to open it and press the Ctrl + Shift + C keys on the keyboard while using Windows. Then, hit the Console tab next to the Elements. Afterward, paste the given code into the Console and hit the Enter key on the keyboard. This will download your PDF file automatically.
You would need to switch the relevant content type(s) to Save File or Always ask instead. One possible reason for Firefox not to ask where to save the file is if Firefox was instructed to Open the file, either in the built-in PDF viewer or in an external application.
You need to go into Tools - Settings - General and set the Action for the types of downloads to Always Ask for those types you want it to. If its set to just Save File then it just saves it in whatever the download directory youve set is.
Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General and in the Downloads menu, checkmark the option Always ask me where to save files. Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General and in the Downloads menu, checkmark the option Always ask me where to save files.
