Back up sync device contacts On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app. Tap Google. Settings for Google apps. Turn on Automatically back up sync device contacts. Pick the account youd like your contacts to be saved in. Your contacts can only be automatically saved to one Google Account.
To do that, go to Settings Accounts Google and then enable Sync Contacts. On the destination device, add the same Google account and then go to Settings Account Google and then select Contacts from the Google Backups list. Tap on Sync Now and the contacts will be transferred to the destination device.
Contacts or calendar events Only contacts and calendar events that arent synced to an account are transferred. If its synced to an account, it wont transfer during setup. To re-sync the information to your Android device, sign in to your associated account in Settings.
Move a contact On your Android phone or tablet, open the Contacts app . Select a contact. At the top right, tap Menu Move to another account. Choose the Google Account you want to move the contact to.
Connect both devices wirelessly. Turn on your new Android phone and follow the on-screen prompts. Select your data. Follow the on-screen instructions to choose what comes with you contacts, photos, videos and calendar events. Transfer. Thats it.
