Access Downloaded Files Navigate to the devices file management app . This app may be known as Downloads, File Manager, Files, or My Files. Note: The devices file management app will generally feature an icon that looks like a folder.
Using Your Androids File Manager Its the icon with a square made of several smaller squares or dots. Youll usually find it at the bottom of the home screen. If youre using a Samsung Galaxy 8, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer.
To find the My Files folder, search using the app search or in the default Samsung folder on your apps screen. My Files sorts your files into categories, such as Images, Videos, Audio and Downloads. If you have recently downloaded a file and are trying to locate it, tap Downloads to access or delete the file.
You can find almost all the files on your smartphone in the My Files app. By default, this will appear in the folder named Samsung. If you are having trouble finding the My Files app, you should try using the search feature. To begin, swipe up on your home screen to see your apps.
How to find downloads on your Android device Open the Android app drawer by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. You can also access the app drawer by tapping its icon on the home screen. Tap My Files (or File Manager). Inside the My Files app, tap Downloads.
Navigate to and open the My Files app. Its usually in the Samsung folder. Select your desired file category, such as Images, Videos, Audio files, Documents, Downloads, Installation files, Compressed, and Favorites. If needed, select any additional folders that contain your desired files (i.e. Screenshots, etc.).
Look in the Downloads folder. Open your Android app drawer by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Select My Files (or File Manager). Once youre in the My Files app, select Downloads. You can tap the Browse icon at the bottom of your screen to search for a PDF quickly.
