Firefox may be unable to save your settings if the prefs. js file (or the prefs. js. moztmp file, if it exists) is write-protected or there are other prefs backup files.
Firefox can remember what youve entered in forms on web pages, also known as text fields. After youve entered something into a form on a web page (such as a search box), the next time you visit that page, your previous entry will be available to re-use.
Turn address autofill on or off and select Settings. Click the Privacy Security panel and scroll down to the Forms and Autofill section. Put a check mark in the box next to Autofill addresses to turn it on, or remove the check mark to turn it off.
Select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac) from the dropdown menu. In the Preferences/Options page, click on the Privacy Security tab on the left side. Scroll down to the Forms Autofill section. Click on the Saved Addresses or Autofill option, depending on your Firefox version.
Select the Privacy Security panel. In the drop-down menu next to Firefox will, choose Use custom settings for history. Remove the check mark next to Remember search and form history. Close the Settings page.
Check Firefox settings Select the Privacy Security panel and go to the History section. In the drop-down menu next to Firefox will choose Use custom settings for history. Make sure that Remember search and form history is selected. Enabling form autocomplete also makes Firefox store search history for the Search bar.
Step-by-step Guidelines Open Firefox. On the Settings tab, click Privacy Security. Under the Certificates menu, click on View Certificates to view the certificate store contents. Click the Authorities tab, then click Import. Browse to your Certificate and click Open.
To back up your profile, first close Firefox if it is open and then copy the profile folder to another location. Locate your profile folder, as explained above. Close Firefox (if open): Click the Firefox menu and select Exit. Go to one level above your profiles folder, i.e. to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
