Open Microsoft Outlook and click the New Email button to start a new email. Click the Options tab and select Encrypt from the Permissions group. Click the Attach File icon, and select the PDF file you want to encrypt. Compose your email message as usual and click the Send button to send the email.
Click FileInfoProtect DocumentEncrypt with Password.
Protect a document with a password Go to File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. Type a password, press OK, type it again and press OK to confirm it. Save the file to make sure the password takes effect.
Encrypt a zip file with Windows Right-click or press and hold the zip file you want to encrypt. Select Properties. Click the Advanced button and check the box next to Encrypt contents to secure data. Select OK to close the Advanced Attributes window and then select Apply. Click OK.
How to encrypt a file on Android. Youll need third-party software to encrypt files on an Android unless you wish to encrypt your entire device. Third-party apps will ask you to import the files you want to protect. This will save an encrypted copy of the file on the apps drive.
How to encrypt a file in Windows 11 Right-click on the icon for the file or folder youd like to encrypt. Select Properties. Near the bottom of the Properties window, select Advanced. Check the box beside Encrypt contents to secure data. Select Apply.
