Turn off Desktop and Documents From your Mac, choose Apple menu  System Settings. In macOS Monterey or earlier, choose Apple menu  System Preferences. Click Apple ID, then click iCloud. Under Apps Using iCloud, click iCloud Drive. Turn off Desktop Documents Folders. Click Done.
Store your Desktop and Documents folders in iCloud Drive On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click [your name] at the top of the sidebar. Click iCloud on the right, click iCloud Drive, then make sure iCloud Drive is turned on. Turn on Desktop Documents Folders. Click Done.
Go to Settings, then tap your name. Tap iCloud, then tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage. Or scroll down and tap Upgrade to iCloud+. If you already subscribe to iCloud+, tap Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan.
How can I save files to iCloud Drive? The Save to iCloud Drive option is available only on Mac platform. In order to save files to iCloud Drive, go to the File Save As click the Other locations dropdown and select iCloud Drive. Type the name of the file and press Save.
When you set up iCloud for Safari, your Safari bookmarks, Reading List, Tab Groups and open browser tabs are stored in the cloud, which frees up space on your device. You can access that information on any device that is set up for iCloud and Safari, including your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac.
You can use iCloud storage to keep photos, videos, device backups, and more, and keep this content up-to-date across your devices.
Why is my storage full when I have iCloud? By default, everything you save in iCloud Drive is mirrored on your Mac. That means that files stored in iCloud Drive are also stored on your Mac. Thats convenient because it makes it much quicker to open files, particularly if you have a slow internet connection.
Turn on Desktop and Documents From your Mac, choose Apple menu  System Settings. Click Apple ID, then click iCloud. Under Apps Using iCloud, click iCloud Drive. Below iCloud Drive, check that Sync this Mac is turned on. Turn on Desktop Documents Folders. Click Done.
