okay so you might want to have the date when this document was last saved not when it would last opened or anything like that but when it was last saved so you might have opened it and closed it but not saved it but you want to know when it was last saved so to do that and were just going to put it directly in the document here you can also put it in the header up there Ill quickly show you how to do that too so what you need to do go to your ribbon choose insert come across here to where it says quick parts click on the drop-down and click on fields theres a whole load of them in here and you can see you could have the date that it was created which is handy Im going to go all the way down to save date there we are and you can choose what format you want it to be displayed in so im going to choose this one for a change so its going to show me the actual day of the week the day the month in full and the year as four digits here so all Ive got to do now is click on OK and youll
