Use text replacements In an app on your Mac, do one of the following: Apply a text replacement to existing text: To use the text replacement in part of a document, select the text, choose Edit Substitutions Show Substitutions, make sure the Text Replacement checkbox is selected, then click Replace in Selection.
Replace found text Click pop-up menu to the left of the search field, then choose Find Replace. You can also choose other options, such as Whole Words and Match Case, to refine your search. Enter a word or phrase in the first field. As you enter text, matches are highlighted.
Apply a text replacement to existing text: To use the text replacement in part of a document, select the text, choose Edit Substitutions Show Substitutions, make sure the Text Replacement tickbox is selected, then click Replace in Selection. Create text replacements On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Keyboard in the sidebar. Click Text Replacements on the right. Click the Add button in the dialog that appears, type the text to replace (such as teh) and its replacement (such as the), then click Add. Click Done.
Command-H: Hide the windows of the front app. To view the front app but hide all other apps, press Option-Command-H. Command-M: Minimize the front window to the Dock.
Edit a note In the Notes app on your Mac, click a note in the notes list or double-click a note in gallery view. To find it quickly, search for notes. In the note text, select the text you want to edit, or click where you want to add text, then make your changes.
