While situations seem to happen, but the important question is that can e-invoices be modified or edited after IRN and QR code are already generated. The answer is No. Yes! Once the IRN is generated for an invoice, the e-invoice cannot be modified, amended, or deleted.
If an incorrect invoice has been sent, the business must issue a cancellation invoice with its own, new invoice number. This will include a negative invoice amount, as well as the original invoice number and the date it was issued. Then, a correct invoice can be raised with a different invoice number.
Find and open the invoice. Click Invoice Options, then select Edit. Make your changes to the invoice. You can edit any field, and drag and drop invoice lines to reorder them.
If you have already issued the invoice but the customer has not paid, send a friendly email or make a polite phone call explaining the mistake, and then issue a new invoice.
