A quotation is a fixed price offer that can't be changed once accepted by the customer. You must adhere to the quotation price even if you carry out more work than you expected.
Yes. You may want to make minor changes to a direct quotation. This is possible (as long as you don't change the meaning), but you must follow the rules covered in Sections 8.30–8.31 of the APA Manual.
Words can be added or changed to a quote by using brackets. Changes can be used to correct tense or to add necessary information. Brackets can also be used to make the pronouns in a quote consistent. However, brackets should not be used to change the meaning of the quote.

How to Fix Quotation Marks That Look Like Dots on Google Docs Open your document. Select the Format tab. Choose Preferences. Uncheck the Use smart quotes box. Click OK.
For the curly single opening and closing quote mark (or apostrophe), use ' and ' respectively. For the curly opening and closing double quotation marks, use “ and ” respectively.
Find the File tab and click it. Thereafter, select Options. Select Proofing and then click Autocorrect Options. Once you get to the Autocorrect dialog box, select AutoFormat as you type and under Replace as you type, select the straight quotes with the smart quotes check box.
