Steps (Family Tree Lite) On the Me tab, find the place where the person belongs. Tap the appropriate link and add a spouse, child, or parent for the person. Enter the name, sex, and birth and death information. Tap Next. If you indicated that the person is alive, the data you entered is added into the system.
Go to the Person tab on the People workspace for the appropriate individual. Click the Facts button. To add a fact press F4 on your keyboard, Right-click in the workspace and select Add Fact, or click the. Choose a fact from the list and click OK. Complete the Date, Place, and Description fields as necessary.
To attach a source from the Person Tab: From the People workspace and under the Tree tab (the Family tab in some versions), select the person in your tree to whom you want to attach a source. On the right side of the screen, click the icon to add a New source.
Importing an Existing File in Family Tree Maker 2009-2019 Click Import a tree from an existing file. Browse to the location of the family tree file, highlight it, and then click Open. If necessary, change the name for the file in the New tree name field. Click Continue.
Include preparer information This option displays whatever you have entered as your User Information. This can be accessed through the Tools menu in the top left-hand area of Family Tree Maker.
