Hi everyone. My name is Kevin. Today I want to show you how you can use mail merge to create address labels. So, what do I mean by that? Well, imagine that you have a list of addresses. So maybe in Excel or in Outlook, you have a list of maybe 30, 50, 60, maybe even hundreds of addresses and you want to print each one of those addresses onto an address label. Well, one way to do that is you could create a new address label sheet in Microsoft Word, and you could go through, and you could copy and paste each address into one of the labels and then you could print it out. But that sounds really painful and thats also going to take a long time. Today Im going to show you how you can use mail merge in Word to greatly simplify that task. Edit data labels On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Double-click the chart you want to change. At the right, click Customize. Series. To customize your data labels, you can change the font, style, color and number format.
Rename a data series Right-click the chart with the data series you want to rename, and click Select Data. In the Select Data Source dialog box, under Legend Entries (Series), select the data series, and click Edit. In the Series name box, type the name you want to use.
Edit the contents of a title or data label that is linked to data on the worksheet In the worksheet, click the cell that contains the title or data label text that you want to change. Edit the existing contents, or type the new text or value, and then press ENTER. The changes you made automatically appear on the chart.
To format data labels, select your chart, and then in the Chart Design tab, click Add Chart Element Data Labels More Data Label Options. Click Label Options and under Label Contains, pick the options you want.
Now you can click directly on data labels, chart titles or legends and drag to reposition them. Or you can easily delete these elements using the delete or backspace keys. Repositioning chart elements in Google Sheets.
Add the data point label Click on the highlighted data point to select it. Click the Chart Elements button. Select the Data Labels box and choose where to position the label. By default, Excel shows one numeric value for the label, y value in our case.
Right-click the data series or data label to display more data for, and then click Format Data Labels. Click Label Options and under Label Contains, select the Values From Cells checkbox.
To format data labels, select your chart, and then in the Chart Design tab, click Add Chart Element Data Labels More Data Label Options. Click Label Options and under Label Contains, pick the options you want. To make data labels easier to read, you can move them inside the data points or even outside of the chart.
