Another way is to use the Page Layout tab in the ribbon and then click on Breaks and Insert Page Break. Once youve inserted the page break, you can then go back to the Page Layout tab and click on Page Setup. In the Page Setup dialog box, click on the Header/Footer tab and then select Different Odd
Click INSERT Header Footer. Click the Slide tab, make the changes you want, and click either Apply to apply the changes to the selected slides, or Apply to All to make the changes to all the slides.
To create a different header or footer for part of a document, youll need to divide the document into sections, and then break the connection between the header or footer in the current section and the previous one. To do so: Insert section breaks; see ARCHIVED: In Microsoft Word, what are sections?
Select Layout Breaks Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section. Note: Headers and footers are linked separately.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
Solution: If you cant directly edit footer text, its probably the case that the footer placeholder has been turned off in Slide Master view. To change that situation, you can open Slide Master view and make changes there, as described below. On the View tab, select Slide Master.
Double click in the footer you want to change. On the Header Footer Tools / Design tab, click the Link to Previous button (located in the Navigation panel, beneath the Previous Section and Next Section buttons). Thats it! Now just change the text, and it wont be linked to the previous footer.
Go to Layout Page Setup Header Footer. Under Header or Footer, on the pop-up menu, select (none).
