hey everyone today im going to show you a formula that will give you the age of something or someone at any given point in time just remember its based on when i created the video so yours might look a little bit different but it will work depending on whenever you create the formula so for example if someone was born on the 2nd of march 1990 the age of that person would be 31 and if we change this date to say the 14th of november 2003 the age of the person would be 17. now im just going to quickly show you how to build this formula and ill also show you how to do it if we had an end date that wasnt today and you just want to see someones age or something at that point in time so very quickly ill just show you how the todays date formula works in excel its inbuilt so its really handy equals today open bracket close bracket you can see the current date is the 30th of august 2021 now if i build the formula all in one so we get the age of someone whose date of birth was 2003 bas

The formula to calculate a persons current age is: =YEARFRAC(B2, TODAY()), where B2 is the cell that contains that persons date of birth. You can obviously store the DOB in any cell you want.
To calculate age using this method, first subtract the dates to calculate the number of days, then divide by 365.2422. Another common way to calculate the decimal number of years is to use the YEARFRAC function, however the result may not always be correct (e.g. 31-Jul-2012 to 30-Jul-2015).
ROUNDDOWN function Formula in Excel =ROUNDDOWN (Number, numdigit) where the number is used to round down the number, and numdigit is used to round down the number to many decimal places. =ROUNDDOWN((B1-B2)/362.25,0) will give the roundup values shown in the below result.
Calculate age Data=(YEAR(NOW())-YEAR(A2))The result is the age of personthe difference between today and the birthdate in A2. This example uses the YEAR and NOW functions. If this cell doesnt display a number, ensure that it is formatted as a number or General. Learn how to format a cell as a number or date.15 more rows
