Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

STEP 1: CHECK THAT THE FONTS HAVE BEEN EMBEDDED In order for fonts to be displayed correctly on someone else computer, the font has to either be installed on the computer or embedded into the PDF. Embedding the font into the PDF avoids having the user installing the font onto their computer.
Press Ctrl-D or select Properties from the File menu. In the Document Properties window that opens, click the Fonts tab to reveal the fonts embedded in the PDF.
STEP 1: CHECK THAT THE FONTS HAVE BEEN EMBEDDED Open the PDF in docHub Reader. Right click on the PDF and click on Document Properties. Under the fonts tab, check that all the fonts you have used are in the list. Next to each font you have used in a form field, it should say (Embedded), not just (Embedded Subset).
Sometimes a PDF file looks fine on screen but it prints in an unsightly substitute font which impedes reading, or symbols are replaced by small rectangles. This is due to docHub trying to re-create the document using its own fonts instead of the documents fonts.
Although all Type 1 fonts can be embedded in PDF files, some TrueType font manufacturers place embedding restrictions on their fonts. Acrobat Distiller honors these restrictions and does not allow you to embed certain TrueType fonts in PDF documents.
You can quickly reinstall fonts on the docHub Fonts website by clicking the cloud icon next to the font name in your Active Fonts list. Once the fonts are reinstalled, they will show up as usual in all your font menus. We recommend keeping Creative Cloud software up-to-date for the best font experience.
Toggle the docHub Fonts setting If the fonts are not active, try turning off the font option in Creative Cloud, wait a moment, and then turn it back on. Open the menu from the gear icon at the top of Creative Cloud desktop. Choose Services, and then toggle docHub Fonts to turn it off and back on.
To embed the fonts that are not already embedded, go to File Print. Bring up the docHub PDF settings and properties, then docHub PDF settings. Embed your font. Edit the default settings and navigate to Font, click the Embed all fonts option.
