Hi gang! In this video were going to recover a Google Sheet by restoring a previous version. This can be a huge time-saver, maybe even a job saver, in the event that something goes wrong with one of your files and you need to backtrack. Here we have a donation spreadsheet. Now, lets say that for some reason all, of our data disappears. Technically we can undo this right now, but pretend weve already closed out of the file and undoing is no longer an option. No worries. Well just restore a previous version. In the menu bar, click File Find Version History, and then click See version history. The version history window opens. You can see on my right that Google sheets has logged different times when Ive updated this file. My current version at the top is obviously not right, so Im going to look at the most recent earlier version. The version thats logged here is the one from April 25th, and it has all of my data. So rather than keep my garbage file, Im going to restore

Trace Error in Excel lets you trace arrows back to cells referenced by a formula if it displays an error. The Trace Error tool is available when auditing a worksheet within a workbook. Note that the formula cell that you select must contain an error to use the Trace Error tool in Excel.
On the Excel menu, click Preferences. , and then clear the Enable background error checking check box. Tip: You can also hide precedent and dependent tracer arrows once youve identified the cell that is causing an error to appear. On the Formulas tab, in the Formula Auditing group, click Remove Arrows.
Resolution Select the cell to which the arrow is pointing. On the Formulas tab, click Remove All Arrows in Formula Auditing group, and then click Remove Precedent Arrows.
On the Excel tab, go to the Formulas tab and locate the Trace Precedents tool under the Formula Auditing section. Next, click the Trace Precedents button and wait for Excel to audit the cells.
On the Formulas tab of the Ribbon, under Error Checking, youll find an option called Trace Error. To use this feature, first select a cell that contains an error, then choose Trace Error. Excel will draw errors in red that indicate the source of the problem.
If only one file has such problem, ing to our tests, if we protected the worksheet, the trace dependents/ precedents function are greyed out, so we suggest you go to Review tab, check if you have protect sheet or workbook, if so, you can click Unprotect Sheet or Unprotect Workbook.
Clicking the Trace Dependents button more than once will show all the cells that are related to the active cell that you are evaluating. To remove the tracer arrows, click the arrow next to the Remove Arrows button under the Formulas Auditing tool and click Remove Dependent Arrows.
Select the worksheet you want to check for errors. If the worksheet is manually calculated, press F9 to recalculate. If the Error Checking dialog is not displayed, then click on the Formulas tab Formula Auditing Error Checking button.
