hi my name is Bree Clark and Im a software expert today Im going to show you how to restore default blank documents in Microsoft Word on my screen Im going to start by using ctrl n to create a new document in Microsoft Word but when I do this it opens up a new document with the word testing appearing ingredients we have a problem the problem is that somehow the normal dot d-o-t default template got updated so Im going to use ctrl W to close that document and go in and edit normal.dotm to do this Ill go to file open now go to my computer and browse and I need to browse to a very specific location so Ill go to my C Drive users my username app data roaming Microsoft templates and there is the normal template so Ill click on that and click open and here Im just going to do first of all select that text and change it back to black and then Ill press the Delete key to delete it so the document is actually blank then Ill just go to file save and then file close to close that templa

Click File Open Browse and then go to the location or folder where the document (Word), workbook (Excel), or presentation (PowerPoint) is stored. Turn the display of formatting marks on or off button turns hidden characters like spaces, paragraph markers, or tab marks on and off. Go to File Options Display. button is turned on or off. Clear any check boxes for ones you dont want always displayed.
Click File Info. Under Manage Documents, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions. Tip: You can also compare versions by selecting Compare instead of Restore.
