How to Restore Previous Versions of Documents on Server

To enable Shadow copies on previous versions for a drive in Windows Server 2022, open File Explorer, right click on the drive with data, go to properties, select Shadow copies, choose the drive with data, go to settings, select a storage area (Microsoft recommends not storing it on the same drive), set a size limit or select No Limits. For example, create a separate drive called backups to store the shadow copies.
