hi my name is Justin Conway today Im going to talk about how to delete footers out of Microsoft Excel sometimes the footer can be hidden if youre in normal view in Microsoft Excel itll sort of hide the options that are available to you but there are various ways to get to them and Ill show you how so here I have a spreadsheet open then Im in normal view and so you cant see any footers here but if you go into view and select page layout itll now show you when you hover over the area theres your header and scroll down a little bit theres your footer if you double click in the footer if there were any text here lets just make an example real quick we can click out so now theres a footer we can just double click in there delete and your footers gone you can also in page four you use the sidebar here to make your foot or bigger or smaller if youd like to adjust that margin the other ways to go about finding your header and footer are to click on layout and you can click on that

If you want the row and column headers always visible when you scroll through your worksheet, you can lock the top row and/or first column. Tap View Freeze Panes, and then tap the option you need.
On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Do one of the following: Under Visibility, click Hide Unhide, and then click Unhide Rows or Unhide Columns.
Option 1: on the Insert tab of the ribbon, elect Header Footer in the Text group. Option 2: on the Page Layout ta of the ribbon, click the little arrow in the lower right corner of the Page Setup group. Activate the Header/Footer tab of the Page Setup dialog.
Adding Header or Footer to All Worksheets in Excel Click the Page Layout tab at the top of the worksheet. Click the small page set-up button at the bottom-right corner of the page set-up. Click the Header/Footer tab. Click the Custom Header button, as shown below. Add your header information where ever you needed.
To add a footer, scroll to the bottom of the page, select the section of the footer you want to add something to. On the Design tab, click an element, such as Page Number, click anywhere else on the worksheet, and page numbers now display in the footer.
On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Page Setup. Under Print Titles, click in Rows to repeat at top or Columns to repeat at left and select the column or row that contains the titles you want to repeat. Click OK. On the File menu, click Print.
Heres how: On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header Footer. This will display the worksheet in Page Layout view and get the Design tab to appear. On the Design tab, in the Header Footer group, click the Header or Footer button, and select the built-in header or footer of your choosing.
Once youre done editing the header and footer, click anywhere on the worksheet to leave the header or footer area. In the Ribbon, go to View Workbook Views Normal.
Make sure the Show Row and Column Headers check box is selected. If cleared, then the header area is not displayed.
Headers and footers are displayed only on printed pages, in Print Preview and Page Layout view. In the normal worksheet view, they are not visible.
