im very excited to welcome todays presenter we have with us dr mary jane esplin and dr mary jane is a professor and vice chair at the department of psychiatry faculty of medicine university of toronto and a former clinician scientist at the university health network and is head of the disa institute and national knowledge translation center supporting health professionals in oncology or palliative care and she held prior career career scientist awards from cirh hr and ncic for her research in psycho-oncology completing studies of psychosocial treatments and group therapy approaches to dealing with impacts of cancer or cancer risk including strategies to enhance coping body image adjustment and management of grease and loss and she has also received numerous awards including the lifetime achievement award from the canadian association psychosocial oncology and was the 2020 recipient of the bernard fox memorial award from the international cycle oncology society so with that im very
